"The eyes of the
future are looking back at us and they are praying that we see beyond our own
time" - Terry Tempest Williams
Welcome to Southeastern Idaho & the
Portneuf Valley Audubon's web site! By promoting the conservation of
natural resources, educating others about
wildlife and the need to live in harmony with our surroundings, we hope
to
promote and safeguard the welfare of birds and their habitat.
We hold monthly meetings from September until May. We kick off the season
in September with an afternoon of birding around American Falls Reservoir
followed by a potluck in a nearby park. In May we conclude the year with a
morning of birding and a free pancake breakfast held at the Cherry Springs
nature area.
Our monthly meetings are usually held the third Thursday of the month at
07:00pm. The chapter meetings are located
at the Idaho State Museum Of
Natural History, Lecture Room (ISU Campus).
We publish the PVAS monthly news letter which contains information
on that months speaker and field trip (click on the News tab above).
